Sponsor & VIP Reception
Look forward to a special race day with Silvan Dillier as the guest of honor and Franco Marvulli on the microphone.
On Sunday, September 27, 2026, we cordially invite our sponsors, supporters, partners, and guests to the Sponsors & VIP Reception for the 14th International Illnau Cyclocross.
For us, the Brüngger family, this year’s event holds special significance. Our father, Beat Brüngger—the initiator and founder of the Illnau Cyclocross—passed away this year. We would like to dedicate this race day to him while continuing the legacy he built and shaped over many years.
Above all, the VIP reception is meant to be one thing: a personal thank-you to everyone who accompanies and supports our event. We look forward to spending the morning together with engaging conversations, special guests, and cycling up close.

Guest of honor Silvan Dillier
This year we are delighted to welcome Silvan Dillier as a special guest of honor at the Illnau Cyclocross.
Silvan and Eric used to compete together at the elite level. Today, Silvan is one of the best-known Swiss professional cyclists and is active in international professional cycling, including as an important support rider for Mathieu van der Poel .
In Illnau, however, he is much more than a guest of honor: Silvan will be personally present at the sponsors' and VIP reception, then will compete in the elite race himself, and before that he will be in action as a forerunner for our kids.
Particularly nice: His father and his two sons will also be at the starting line for the Illnau cyclocross – three generations of the Dillier family on one race day.
Anyone who wants to get to know Silvan and his special role in professional cycling even better will find an exciting insight behind the scenes in the portrait "In the Wind" in the Swiss cycling magazine Gruppetto .

Franco Marvulli will guide you through the race day.
Franco Marvulli has also been associated with the Illnau cyclocross for many years.
The multiple world champion and former Swiss professional cyclist will accompany the race day as a speaker and provide atmosphere and exciting insights with his experience, expertise and his unique style.
We are especially pleased that Franco is with us again this year. The picture shows him together with our father, Beat Brüngger, and brings back many memories of shared moments at the Illnau Cyclocross.
We look forward to a special racross event, many personal encounters, and to welcoming you to Illnau.
See you soon at the racetrack!
